Harnessing Technology for Greater Flexibility
To protect our customers’ investment in our products, as well as our own
investments in software research and development, we have built XpressCommerce®
to Java 2 Enterprise Edition™ (J2EE™) standards. XpressCommerce® utilizes
multiple open-standard technologies including Enterprise JavaBeans, Java
Server Pages, Servlets, Java Database Connectivity, Java Messaging Service,
and JavaMail.
Our system is component-based and can be deployed individually
or as an integrated suite depending on the customer’s specific requirements.
XpressCommerce® harnesses the power of network computing and provides a
standard development and deployment environment, enabling the implementation
of secure, portable, reliable, and scalable applications.

J2EE provides a seamless solution across all layers of the XpressCommerce® infrastructure. It serves as a platform bringing together different groups of
middleware components. Components communicate
transparently using various standards, including HTML, XML, HTTP, SSL, RMI and others. Transaction management, life-cycle management, messaging service
and resource pooling are built into the J2EE
platform and provided to the components that
it supports. With J2EE standards-compliant architecture
as the infrastructure of our products, highly
Scalable, Secure and Robust operations can then
be achieved effectively and efficiently. With "Write Once, Run Anywhere" (WORA) feature, our solutions are therefore not tied to any 3rd party products
nor APIs. It enables rapid integration with different 3rd party products. Therefore,
our component-based XpressCommerce® solutions can easily adapt to any environment.

Since J2EE applications run on Java Application Servers, they offer standard
objects with the functionalities that are often
needed in enterprise applications. The plug-in
functionality also allows developers to write the
logic of an application without the need to rewrite
basic services. XpressCommerce® leverages the process of integrating EIS systems like the popular ERP systems
in the market with minimal effort and maintenance. |
