By using a Cloud-based supply chain collaboration platform, your entire supply chain has visibility as a means to react to issues and benefit from increased collaboration without reliance on ineffective means of communication. Integrating with existing PDM, PLM or ERP systems preserves current technology investments, while utilizing the powerful capabilities in the ecVision Suite.
The architecture behind ecVision Suite models the complex business processes and relationships many
retailers and brand manufacturers rely on for streamlined success. By using a Cloud-based platform, ecVision Suite provides real-time, all-inclusive access through the Internet; removing costly hardware or software investments and time consuming deployments.
Based on a Collaborative Framework, ecVision Suite incorporates sophisticated technology features integrated into an application platform to reduce cycle times, optimize sourcing processes, and manage the concept-to-delivery work flow.
Based on a Collaborative Framework, ecVision Suite incorporates sophisticated technology features integrated into an application platform to reduce cycle times, optimize sourcing processes, and manage the concept-to-delivery work flow.
The Collaborative Framework can be illustrated with several layers. Each layer provides essential functionality to the working foundation of the ecVision Suite. Below each layer is described to show the architectural design of our portal.
Retailers & Brands
The Portal layer provides a unified interface to access applications provided by ecVision Suite. By using the Portal layer, stored information (e.g. alerts, events, news, documents) coming from various applications can be consolidated and displayed on the same page in the application's interface. This means users can access their most important data in a quick and easy-to-use viewing format.
Supply Chain Partners
ecVision Suite is designed for
collaboration between supply chain partners, which include buyers, vendors, factories, mills, logistics providers, compliance companies and other parties involved in supply chain activities.
Applications (Shown in Blue)
The Applications layer is where the business applications reside. All of the applications are configurable to meet common business needs. If special processes are required, customization of the applications can be done
Visibility
The Visibility layer unifies
different kinds of views in the system; for example: reports, dashboards, editable grids and crosstabs. Each of these views are made consistent, both in terms of appearance and behavior, across each functional application. It also provides the Administrative User the ability to enable trained users to setup role-based or company-specific views to match the unique business processes and requirements.
Object
The Object layer structures
business objects or documents used in the functional applications. It centralizes the object-relational mapping feature allowing for the more efficient application development.
Workflow
The Workflow layer is the
building block of the workflow related features of the specific functional applications. It features an Event Engine which allows power users to setup event-based workflow through the GUI. Workflow also provides an Alert Engine to support real-time, system alerts or configure alerts to push to external email servers. Customers can setup the workflow according to their unique business needs.
Business Application Tools
Business Application Tools consists of generic tools that can be used in all applications. Examples include the discussion tracking tool, workspace management tool and homepage management tool.
Administration
Administration is the layer which consolidates all the administrative works, including profile management (user and role), schedule job configuration, system monitoring, etc. This layer can reduce the maintenance effort across each functional application in ecVision Suite
Core
The Core layer is the shared Java® library used by all layers. Low-level functionality that is common to every platform (like Internationalization - i18n, database access, etc.) is consolidated here for code reuse.
Integration Framework
The Integration Framework is the gateway between external applications and ecVision Suite. Whenever there is integration between ecVision Suite and external applications, the messages should go through the Integration Framework. The Framework centralizes the maintenance of transformers and routers used for 3rd party application integration thus reducing administrative overhead.
