As the leading application for most designers today, ecVision incorporated an integration tool that allows designers to develop their product sketches and designs in Adobe illustrator and transfer the design images and product information to the Collaborative Product Development Module without a need to rekey the data. Design Panel

Once the product designs have been developed, the product attributes (color, fabric, trim, etc) are added through the design panel. A drag-and-drop favorite's bar is available within the Design Panel to give designers easy access to their most commonly used materials. Models

For retailers and private label brands who develop their products based on a repetitive silhouette, the models feature creates the static silhouette that can be referenced and used across departments. Whether it is the same style dress shirt that is sold all year round or label packaging used on multiple products, private label brands and retailers can use the Model feature to streamline their production. In the Bill of Materials, retailers and private label brands have the ability to create their BOM lists by pulling in materials from their material library. If a users material library resides in an outside system that system can be integrated into the Collaborative Product Development Module by means of our integration tool kit. Once the BOM is created the list can be sent to the retailer's vendor for review. The selected vendor has a single login to the ecVision Suite, allowing them to view the submitted BOM and send back any questions, comments, or suggestions for other available materials. These changes can be viewed by the retailer in a side-by-side comparison screen that red lines the items that have been changed and updated. Each version of the BOM is tracked and saved in the version history control, giving brands and retailers visibility in to their collaborative efforts with their vendors. Interested to learn more? By using WIP, the Collaborative Product Development Module tracks the various tasks and status of the product development cycle. Each phase can be color coded to fit the internal processes of the retailer or private label brand. In addition to the classifications of phases, automated alerts can be programmed as various reminders for users.
