Each step of the product costing process is entered and tracked within the Global Sourcing & Production Module. Retailers and private label brands can send their RFQs/RFPs by generating their cost sheets within the system. To eliminate
unnecessary rekeying of data, cost sheets are pre-populated with the required fields by pulling information from the existing product master.
A single cost sheet can be sent to multiple vendors and/or agents depending on the retailer and private label brand's preference. Once submitted the vendor can produce either FOB costing or Component level costing depending on the retailers request. Vendor's responses include not only the requested information but can also include any comments or questions for the brand or retailer.
Retailers and private label brands can then view multiple vendor responses by using the side-by-side cost comparison feature making it easier to approve or reject various vendors. To ensure accuracy of the communication between the retailer and the vendor, all transactions and conversations are tracked in the version history. After receiving the sample, retailers and brands can communicate back to the vendor their review by entering their pass/fail results and any additional comments they might have.

Depending on the internal process of the retailer or private label brand, a test request form can be created that will be automatically populated based on the information within the product master. The test request for will ask for specific testing based on predetermined key factors. After the test results are received by the retailer or brand, a notification will be sent to the vendor of their pass/fail results.
